The Manor House Trunch enjoys a picturesque rural location (see gallery below)
The Manor House B&B in Trunch, North Norfolk, is ideally situated for visiting the beautiful Norfolk beaches, the Broads, the stately homes of Blickling, Felbrigg, Holkham, Mannington and Wolterton, as well as the wealth of wonderful hidden churches, the local market towns of North Walsham, Cromer, Wroxham and Aylsham, and of course the vibrant city of Norwich with its museums, cathedrals, art galleries, shops, theatres and market.
The Manor House itself is a beautifully restored period building in a semi-rural setting at the edge of the village of Trunch, which hosts a Pub, the lovely medieval church of St Botolph's, a village shop and a Post office.
How to find us
Directions by Road
Leave Norwich on the B1150 to North Walsham. At North Walsham, turn left at the first set of traffic lights to follow signs to Mundesley B1145. At the end of the village of Swafield do not take the right dog-leg to Mundesley, but go straight ahead to Trunch. In Trunch, pass the Church and turn left at the Social Club into Brewery Road. Just after the fish pond on the left hand side, turn right into a drive between the old farm barns, now converted into dwellings. You will see the Manor House at the end in front of you.
Most mainline services to Norwich link up to the Anglia Railways service to Sheringham (The Bittern Line). Midway along the route are the stations North Walsham and Gunton, both of which are ideal for reaching Trunch. By prior arrangement we can collect you from either station.
Norwich has an airport only 15 miles from Trunch. It has limited national connections, but has a shuttle service to Amsterdam for links globally through KLM. A budget solution is to fly to Stansted and proceed by train via Cambridge/Ely and Norwich.
